Former newspaper and radio journalist Penny Smits launched WordPlay Public Relations with one clear vision. She wanted to make PR advice as accessible to small businesses and non-profit organisations as it is to big brands and corporates.
With a background in journalism, copywriting and in-house and agency PR roles, Penny recognised what a great equaliser the right press coverage and content could be for smaller organisations. Since launch, the WordPlay PR team has helped organisations of all sizes tell their story.
Tegan is in her final year studying Public Relations with a marketing sequence at RMIT University.
Originally a WordPlay intern, Tegan now helps Penny one day a week with media monitoring, content creation, web copywriting and media relations.
Tegan has an impressive work ethic and writing style and a level of maturity beyond her years and we are very lucky to have her as part of the WordPlay team!
